Easy Web Editor is a web development application . Easy Web Editor is a WYSIWYG editor born in 1996 as rib of the iPer project, started as graduation thesis at :it:Politecnico di Torino and published for the first time at the ED-Media '97 World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia, and Telecommunications in Calgary. The editor was then further developed by Visual Vision, founded by the author of the iPer project. The software supplies a visual interface (so it is called visual editor or WYSIWYG ): to create a web site it is sufficient to simply write text, insert images and hyperlinks, without having to know the html language (programmers who need to add code can do it by using the proper dialogs). Furthermore, the program inherits from project iPer the original WYSIWYL interface, that permits the visual definition of links, without having to memorize file names. Actually a leading feature of Easy Web Editor is the ability to manage an entire site without writing html (which is common also for other editors) *and* without having to manually keep order in the tens, hundreds or sometimes thousands of files that make up a site (because of technical constraints due to Web/ html standards).
