Kitchen Academy, was a for-profit college in Hollywood, California. It was a branch of the California School of Culinary Arts. Academics The former Kitchen Academy - Hollywood was a professional culinary arts Program where students could earn a Professional Culinary Arts Diploma. It was purchased by Cordon Bleu which subsequently shut down.. Students can earn a diploma in Professional Culinary Arts in as little as 30 weeks through the Accelerated Training System. They study for five terms and are able to begin cooking the first day of the classes. Once the students have successfully completed the program, they should be qualified for a culinary or hospitality entry-level position. Admission Prospective students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, complete admission documents and pass the Wonderlic Scholastic Level examination with a 13 or higher test score. Campus The facilities consist of industry-current equipment and workstations, including: *Kitchen labs *A multi-purpose room for classes, school and public events, orientations and more *Student area and resource center *Conference, break and copy/workrooms A maximum of 32 students in a class was maintained, with a maximum 16:1 student to instructor ratio. Accreditation Kitchen Academy was formerly accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
