Mission
Trinity Episcopal School is committed to the breadth of the Episcopal tradition in both its unity and diversity. A student of Trinity is challenged to academic excellence while honored as an individual with unique potential. As faculty and families together influence young lives, students themselves will be affirmed as ambassadors of grace, citizens who live and teach an ethic of service and respect for others. A student of Trinity is trained in the example of Christ and toward a stewardship of healthy body, lively soul and discerning mind.
History
A decade ago, a group of Charlotte Episcopal clergy and parishioners planted a seed of educational excellence to be nurtured in spiritually rich soil. Today, it is growing at Trinity Episcopal School. Thanks to the tireless efforts of hundreds in our community, Trinity is igniting the minds, bodies, spirits and senses of our children and families.
Trinity opened its school doors in Charlotte’s Center City in August 2000. The School started out in two modular buildings (10,000 square feet) located in what is now their athletic field. In August 2000, Trinity began with two classrooms of Kindergarten, and one class of first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. In May 2002, construction began on the first phase of their permanent facility, the education building, located on what had been our playground. The proposed phase two consists of a chapel, media center and performing arts facility.
In June 2005, Trinity Episcopal School received its accreditation from the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In September 2009, Trinity Episcopal School broke ground on their athletic fields at Alexander Street Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
