Kip Edwards

Kip Edwards (born December 4, 1989) is a former American football cornerback. A native of Arlington, Texas, he played college football at Missouri, appearing in 49 games from 2009 to 2012.
He subsequently played on the pre-season or practice squads of five professional football teams, including the Cleveland Browns (2013), Buffalo Bills (2013), Minnesota Vikings (2014), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2014), and Saskatchewan Roughriders (2015).
Since retiring as a player, Edwards has held assistant coaching positions with the Missouri State Bears and Washington State Cougars.
Early years
Edwards was born in 1989 in Arlington, Texas. He attended Bowie High School in Arlington. He intercepted six passes as a senior and was named to the Associated Press Class 5A All-Texas football team in 2007.
Missouri
After red-shirting in 2008, Edwards played college football as a defensive back for the Missouri Tigers from 2009 to 2012.
Professional football
After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Edwards was signed in April 2013 by the Buffalo Bills. He attended training camp and played in four preseason games and was released at the end of August.
He was signed by the Cleveland Browns in early September 2013. He was assigned the practice squad but release at the end of the month.
In November 2013, Edwards was signed by the Minnesota Vikings to the club's practice squad. He was waived by the Vikings in June 2014.
He was signed by the Buccaneers at the end of July, but waived at the end of August.
In September 2015, he was signed to the practice roster of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was released by the Roughriders at the end of October.
Coaching career
In 2015, Edwards served as a quality control-special teams coach and recruiting director at Missouri State.
