KingOfTrash (born Tyrone Lee Needham, August 19th, 1975, Nottingham) is a British singer-songwriter. In 2007 KingOfTrash completed his debut album "Highly Innappropriate", and in 2009 he completed his second album first official release "Mythology". KingOfTrash worked with producer Mark Gamble of the group Krush on both Highly Inappropriate and Mythology to produce a contemporary Pop sound. Additional contributions to Mythology were included from Steve Bronski of Bronski Beat and Thomas Emerson, life long friend and co-writer. In 2009 KingOfTrash was interviewed by BBC Introducing, where Andrew Woodger (BBC) said "Ipswich-based singer/songwriter KingOfTrash is making no apologies for his love of pure Pop Music. He's proudly calling himself KingOfTrash in response to those who see mainstream, melodic pop as inferior and throwaway." , and in August 2010, will be appearing at NRG Festin aid of the British charity Help for Heroes. he also played the launch of the London Pride Charities event in London in January 2010. The music of KingOfTrash is very much informed by his own sexuality and the way in which sexuality is constructed in our society KingOfTrash is very much part of the new Pop movement hitting the US and Europe, and has been compared to Lady GAGA and Mika by Martin Webb (Drum Dr) who has played drums for some of the biggest bands across Europe, for bringing a theatrical element back to pop music. As of 2010 KingOfTrash is under management from TLN Management.
