Mumzy

Mumzy (Mumith Ahmed) born on 18 January 1984; is a British Asian MC/R&B and Soul singer, known for his Promotional hit "Let's Party". The release date for Mumzy's official album has not yet been confirmed, however it is hoped to be released late 2008.

Mumzy is a British born Bangladeshi raised in a welcoming Islamic home Plaistow located in Newham. He was born in London Hospital in East London in 1984. He discovered his love for music at the age of 11. His brothers influenced him to get involved into music by throwing him into their massive cd collections. Mumzy studied Business Information Technology BA Honours at the University of Westminster and graduated in 2007. Mumzy started experimenting with various MC styles, including ragga at secondary school when he was 16 and then branched into singing in college and then discovered his vocal range. Mumzy has always been a solo artist with a voice that is real, diverse and edgy. He'll always manage to catch the ears of many with his firey lyrics and soul. With a studio based at his home, he has taught himself to play instruments and deals with his own production. Although many of his sounds are self-produced, Mumzy has a handful of talented producers he works with. He is currently working on his album with Rishi Rich (Super Producer) who was responsible for breaking out Jay Sean and Juggy D. Mumzy loves writing his own material but is open to work with other people in the studio as this broadens the horizons. He enjoys writing with Alibi, Abzy, Samo, and Jai Rajani (up-coming actor). Most of his writing inspirations come straight from his experiences in life including he's fiancé . Moreover Mumzy began dancing with family friend and choreographer Tazmul Ahmed (Taz) at the age of 18. Since then Mumzy has implemented his dancing abilities in his performances at events to amaze the crowd. Mumzy also connected with choreographer and fashion designer Saran Kohli also known as Snach. Mumzy joined up with dance group Snach in 2005 and began to perform in various shows until the signing to Rishi Rich in 2008. Mumzy is also branded with his own clothes made by Saran Kohli from Khoobsorat and Emmy Designs. Mumzy goes by his own moto of 'you're born a stranger, you live a stranger, and you die a stranger'

Mumzy has already made a considerable mark within the Asian music industry. Mumzy has featured on several artists albums and has been in the studio doing various collaborations. He has successfully completed a track with H Dhami (Rishi Rich Productions Artist), Mumzy has also collaborated with British singer Sophie Choudhury and Taz from Stereo Nation, in addition he has lent his vocals to Jassi Sidhu and Malkit Singh. Mumzy has also been touring with his production company, he was majorly involved in the BBC Asian Network Uni Tour 07, including all other events at Melas and RRP affialiated events. In January 2008 BBC Asian Network announced the launch of the biggest marketing campaign to date featuring Mumzy which was broadcasted across BBC television channels, radio stations and online.
At the 2008 UK Asian Music Awards, Mumzy performed "Know You Wanna Dance" and "We Gotto Get Going" to the huge mixed crowds at the Royal Festival Hall on Southbank, in London. This had a great effect to everyone there.
