Kinfra Industrial Park, Thiruvananthapuram is one of the first industrial infrastructure initiatives of Kinfra located at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala state in India. This park is owned by Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA), a statutory body of Government of Kerala and is being managed by Kinfra International Apparel Parks Ltd. (KIAP), a public company registered under Companies Act 2013. This industrial park has successfully implemented the Government of India scheme named "Apparel Parks for Exports Scheme". The Industrial park provides infrastructure and other related facilities to more than 100 units categorized under garment manufacturing and laundry services, food processing, tools and machines manufacturing, solar power products, aerospace automotive parts, E-commerce, furniture manufacturing, newspaper and periodicals printing, gas and air processing, ice cream manufacturing, production and warehousing of Ayurvedic medicines and other drugs, manufacturing of building materials, automotive components, food processing, swimming pool equipment, nanotechnology manufacturing, and heart valve manufacturing unit. Apparel Parks also cater to Central and State PSU’s and institutions such as Central Warehousing Corporation, Kerala Medical Services Corporation Ltd., and Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence, and Apparel Training and Design Centre. More than 3,500 people from different parts of India are directly employed in various companies functioning in the Park. Companies provide subsidized transportation facilities for those who commute everyday for work, and the working women’s hostel in the Park can accommodate up to 500 inmates. KIAP has 38.781025 hectare (95.83 acres) of land and the Park is accessible by road, rail, water, and air transportation. The international transhipment port such as Vizhinjam is nearby, Cochin and Tuticorin are equidistant from the Park, and railway station and airport are also nearby as well. KINFRA Textile Centre (KTC) at Nadukani in Thaliparama, Kannur is an extension of KIAP. The park extends into 50.1122 hectare (123.38 acres) in Thaliparamba, Kannur. T It hosts 50 units and generates more than 340 employments. It has a diversified portfolio of business categories such as garment manufacturing, dyeing and exporting, food processing, coconut oil production, packaging materials and plastic products, manufacturing furniture, manufacturing of building materials, etc. The dyeing and winding plant is set up that can process 1.5 tonne yarn and 70,000 metres of fabric a day. KTC is also well connected to roads, rail and sea-airports. Kannur International Airport is an added advantage for the entrepreneurs. A zero liquid discharge (ZLD) unit has been commissioned in the park to ensure environment friendly operations at KINFRA Textile Centre, Kannur. The Chairman of the company is Shri. Santhosh Koshy Thomas and the Managing Director is Jeeva Anandan.
