Kimmi Cupcakes

Kimmi Williams (born on February 20, 1982 in Jacksonville, NC), is better known as Kimmi Cupcakes is an on-air personality on Shade 45.
Biography
Kimmi is a Blasian Model/Host of Panamanian and Korean American heritage. Her mother is Korean and her father is Panamanian. Her parents met while her father was stationed in Seoul, South Korea. Kimmi is the oldest of two children and has a younger brother named Doane. After traveling to various military bases, her family finally settled in Honolulu, Hawaii after her father retired from the United States Marine Corps.
Kimmi studied at Michigan State University but later transferred to Hawaii Pacific University when her father was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is an International Relations major.
After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, her father who was active duty was sent to Iraq several times. Kimmi decided to join the local police department and became a police officer in 2003. After a year of service she transferred to a federal department.
Kimmi was introduced to Keith Perrin, co-founder of FUBU and CEO/President of the Keith Perrin Agency, who suggested she consider modeling and in 2006 she moved to New York. She has done print work and editorial/pictorial spreads in many urban mainstream magazines such as Black Men, XXL and The Source.
In addition to being a model/host, Kimmi works for a Fortune 500 company in finance.
Currently, she resides in Brooklyn, New York.
Radio career
Within her first 6 months of living in New York, Kimmi met DJ Self, a popular club DJ, through a friend and was asked if she would be interested in coming on the show as a guest. After hearing the live segment, directors of the show approached her and offered her a reoccurring spot as a co-host of VIP Saturdays with DJ Self on Hip Hop Nation. In January 2009 the show VIP Saturdays moved from Hip Hop Nation to Eminem’s Shade 45. Kimmi hosts her segment called Kimmi Cupcakes’ Corner live at 12a-1a every Saturday on Sirius XM Radio.
Charity
Kimmi is very involved in philanthropy and spends her free time volunteering at soup kitchens in New York City. She also is active in other organizations such as Junior Achievement, Big Brothers Big Sisters, America’s Promise and Meals On Wheels.
