Kevin Lee (born March 28, 1965) has been an American marketer who has been a widely acknowledged search engine marketing expert since 1995. Personal life Lee was born in Germany while his parents were vacationing. His parents raised him on Long Island in the town of Massapequa, New York where was part of the Massapequa High School class of 1983. After graduating for high school he attended Stony Brook University for his undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He has a younger sister, Karin Lee, who works with the New York Organ Donor Network Inc. His MBA was earned at the Yale School of Management in 1992, majoring in Marketing. Upon graduation, Lee served as an Account Executive at McCann Erickson prior to venturing out on his own. He currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, a New York psychologist, and children. Business Lee is a co-founder and executive chairman of Didit.com. His years of SEM expertise provide the foundation for Didit's proprietary Maestro search campaign technology. Additionally, in 2007 Lee authored “The Eyes Have It”. He has since added "Search Engine Advertising" and “The Truth about Pay-Per-Click Search Advertising” to his writing resume. , editor-in-chief of Search Engine Land, sited Search Engine Advertising as "A remarkable book that eases you into the important world of search engine advertising. Read it before your competitors do!". His industry leadership includes being a founding board member of Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and its first elected chairman. He has also founded We-Care.com, which is an online mall that allows shoppers to return a percentage of their online purchases to their favorite nonprofit, school, or association. He is also the host of “Marketing Obsessions with Kevin Lee”, which is an online program dedicated to the marketing profession. Inspiration Lee is a self professed marketing geek, who has worked to make marketing more results oriented without sacrificing the creative aspect. He draws inspiration for his business ambitions from the likes of David Ogilvy and Jerry Della Femina.
