Kenneth Loukinen

Kenneth Edward Loukinen (July 15,1963-) is an activist for atheist rights and the separation of church and state in the United States. He is currently the Director of State and Regional Operations for American Atheists. Ken is also a founding member and was president of FLorida Atheists and Secular Humanists located in Broward County, Fl.
Career
Ken has been atheist since childhood and became vocal about it in 2004 when he joined a local atheist meet-up group. Ken helped form Atheists of Broward County, Florida also known as Florida Atheists and Secular Humanists or FLASH.
Ken started working for American Atheists in 2008 as a regional director in South Florida. It is his goal to promote a positive image for atheists, dispel common misconceptions, promote science education, civil rights and community involvement in Florida. On May 1, 2010, Ken was appointed to the position of Director of State Operations.
Ken was part of the William L Moore freedom walk in 2008, with Ellen Johnson, walking a civil rights letter 320 miles to Jackson Ms.
Ken has established protests for church state violations, countered attempts to ban books from school libraries, spoke out publicly for increased science standards in Florida’s public schools, has been interviewed by many local and national newspapers, radio and TV shows.
