Al Stefanelli

Al Stefanelli (born in 1963) is a well known American atheist activist who served as a former Baptist Pastor, Praise & Worship musician and special care ministry director before becoming an atheist in 2005. He is currently an author, writer and investigative journalist.
Biography
Stefanelli was ordained into the ministry by the Eternal Light Christian Fellowship in Raleigh, NC in 1992. He served as Pulpit Supply for the Southern Baptist Convention, attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary college and spent ten years as an Itinerant Preacher. He and his wife, Day, operated a special care ministry that provided food, household items and clothing to the needy. Their ministry was a member of the North Carolina Food Bank.
While still in the ministry, Stefanelly began a career in journalism, writing a weekly newspaper colum in the Eastern Wake News called Think About It from 1993 until 2003. He hosted a syndicated radio program called Millennium from 1994 until 1997.
In 2005 he walked away from his life as a believer and became an atheist activist. Shortly thereafter, he founded and is the President of the United Atheist Front, a civil rights organization that recently moved from Alabama to Georgia, where it was Incorporated . The United Atheist Front works with other national atheist civil rights organizations on a number of different projects that primarily address the discrimination of non-theists through political action, peaceful assembly, community organization and public awareness campaigns. The UAF is also a partner with the Foundation Beyond Belief, and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation .
He is the author of A Voice Of Reason In An Unreasonable World.
Stefanelli is member of the Fayette Freethought Society.

Stefanelli is the co-host of ReapSow Radio, an atheist radio program broadcast on Jackalope 105 FM and live on the Internet. He has written numerous articles that have been published in several venues over the years, including the Atlanta Freethought Magazine.
Stefanelli has also engages in numerous debates, is a public speaker covering events and topics that affect the lives of atheists..
He currently resides in the Altanta Metro area.
