Langdales Essence of Cinnamon

Langdales Essence of Cinnamon
Edward Langdale set up his own distillery on Holburn Hill in London back in 1745; this is where he created Langdales Essence of Cinnamon. Unfortunately in 1780 it was burned to the ground by rioters during the Lord Gordon Riots, this was documented by Charles Dickens in ‘Barnaby Rudge’.
Thankfully Edward Langdale rebuilt his distillery and continued to make his essences. In the 19th century is when Langdales Essence of Cinnamon became most popular and was even tested by the members of His Majesty's Civil Service, the Army, Navy, Police and many large firms.
Today Langdales Essence of Cinnamon is still based on Edward Langdale’s original formulation.
