Ken Whitman is a self acclaimed game designer who has worked primarily on role-playing games. He is widely known throughout the internet community for dishonest business practices. Career Ken Whitman and Marc Miller co-founded Imperium Games in 1996. Whitman was president of the company, and gathered a group of role-playing professionals to run the new company. and D20 Entertainment in 2014. Kickstarter Ken Whitman used Ken Whitman Games and D20 Entertainment to launch several troubled Kickstarter campaigns. His second campaign under the Ken Whitman Games banner was suspended after he had failed to fulfill the first campaign and it was discovered that he was importing already existing items from China and re-selling them at a higher price through Kickstarter. He then launched 6 Kickstarter campaigns in 2014-2015 under the D20 Entertainment banner, including the Knights of the Dinner Table Live Action Series campaign that has been criticized by series creator Jolly Blackburn. Whitman also stated that, even though none of the 6 Kickstarter projects have been fulfilled, he has used money obtained in one of the 6 Kickstarter campaigns to help pay for one or more of the others.
