Ken Mayfield notable name in Contemporary Christian Music radio in Charlotte, NC. Mayfield founded and served as general manager at numerous Christian stations including New Life 91.9 (WRCM) www.newlife919.com in 1993 and WNOW, AM 1030 in 1985 (now a Spanish station). Prior to signing on New Life 91.9, Mayfield hosted a Contemporary Christian music program for 7 years on 107.9 WBCY, later Sunny FM and now The Link. Mayfield left Charlotte in 1999 to take a position at the His Radio Network in the Upstate of South Carolina. While there, the network grew from 5 to 28 frequencies. He moved on to the K-Love Network and served as Senior Regional Manager. Today, he is Communications Minister at First North, a church with 7,000 members in Spartanburg, SC. He also works part-time on-air at Billy Graham's 106.9, The Light in Asheville, NC. Personal - Married to Debbie Helms Mayfield - 1984, Ken and Debbie and one child, a son - Daniel, born 1988. |
