Works
Anderson uses a variety of tools in her art, such as using paper memory (paper has the ability to remember the order in which it was folded) in her works and a 1919 letterpress. According to Anderson, the brain is heavily influenced by small visuals that have authority on everyday actions and experiences.
In 2011, she created a paper record player that garnered major attention from numerous media outlets such as Wired Magazine, NPR, and Slashdot. In 2008, she worked as a part of a large team, including the Yes Men, to Distribute an intricate copy of the New York Times that they recreated. The copy only contained articles from a Utopian Future. The newspaper was recreated and put into the hands of New Yorkers on a Thursday morning.<ref name=TEDBio/>
This project won the Arts Electronica Prix Award of Distinction in 2009, as well as made its way to the news all over the world. The articles shocked those who received them but also spread messages of hope. Her works have been published in Wired UK amongst other magazines.<ref name=TEDBio/> She does not limit her designs to paper, as she designs a solar powered ice cream truck with infographics about the benefits of solar power technology and ways to help save planet earth.
