Kaveh Yaghmaei

Kaveh Yaghmaei (, born 1968, in Iran) is an Iranian rock musician. He is the eldest son of Iranian singer and musician Kourosh Yaghmaei .

Biography
Early life and career in Iran

He started learning music at age 8 when he attended Tehran Advanced School of Music and also started learning piano with Iranian teacher Ms Novin Afrooz. At that time, he also started playing the guitar in his favorite style Rock and learned to compose music from his father and two uncles (Kamran and Kambiz Yaghmaei).
In 1981, Tehran's Music School was closed following the Islamic Revolution in Iran. It was re-opened after few years and Kaveh graduated, while forcefully playing the flute. He then began his professional career of composing and recording music in 1984 and in 1993, Kaveh played his first concert which also was the first Rock concert in Iran after the revolution collaborating with Babak Amini at Bahman Hall. In 1996, Kaveh entered the Islamic Azad University, during which he started playing classical guitar.
Later career
In 2005 after the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran refused to release his second album, he immigrated to Vancouver, Canada with his wife and their twins. He later announced the reason why he left Iran was to expand his music in Canada and even North America.
He released his second album named Cold Silence in 2008 on Taraneh Records, as well as performing in some concerts in Canada.
