Kaushalya Devi - The International Mandana Artist Introduction A 68 year old woman Koshalya Devi, from Baran city on Rajasthan has been engaged in preserving and conserving the traditional white chalk on red background Mandana drawing s, seen on the walls and floors of rural houses in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Koshalya Devi has till now painted over 100 design in the Mandana style on hardboard using oil paints. Other than conserving , the artist is also engaged in globalising this local art. She has given a seven day training to a German Visitor.
