Katta Russeforening

Katta russeforening, also known as KRF, is an association based on Trondheim Katedralskole in Trondheim, Norway. The association was created on November 22 2006 as a protest following a disclosure of extensive economic benefits for the participants in the school's board of russ.

Katta russeforening was founded in 2006, by several students that wanted the celebrations of the Russetid to be something everyone could participate in without paying expensive tickets from people whose only goal was to gain personal profit from the students.

Katta Russeforening started up collecting signatures from students, and arranging meetings where plans for free fun events were planned. In the lead, Håvard Smeplass, Andrea Gustavsson, Aslak Rødder got many students to join in, and after a while half almost every single student in the school joined in, including the ones that were in opposition as they were in the committee arranging the ticket-based arrangements. Katta Russeforening is an open group, and everyone can join in and help getting the celebrations become something enjoyable for all the russ. And the arrangements in the 2007-celebrations were mostly successful, but with room for improvement.

It is unknown who will take over the leadership for the 2008-celebrations, but many students have already joined in.
