Lawrence Yaku

Lawrence Yaku (born May 25, 1975 in Nigeria) is an English footballer of Nigerian origin. He currently plays for Hampton & Richmond Borough on a Part-Time contract in the Conference South, after previously being with Northwood and Maidenhead United.

Career
Northwood
Yaku started off his career at then, Isthmian League Division 2 side Northwood FC, scoring 37 goals in his opening season and becoming top scorer for 'The Woods' in the 1999-2000 season.

Yaku stayed with Northwood for 2 more seasons before leaving on a free transfer to Maidenhead United

Maidenhead
Yaku joined Maidenhead in the summer of 2002 and collected a Berks & Bucks Senior Cup Winners medal at the end of his first season. Yaku then helped the Magpies qualify for the Conference South with a midtable Ryman League Premier Division finish in 2004-05. He spent one season in the new division before rejoining former Maidenhead manager Alan Devonshire at Hampton & Richmond in the summer of 2005.

Hampton & Richmond Borough
Yaku joined Hampton under what is claimed as the Devonshire Revolution. In his 2nd season at the club Yaku was a key player as 'The Beavers' triumphed to the Ryman League Premier Division title thus gaining promotion to the Conference South. Yaku began the 2007/2008 season in good form, but a hamstring injury meant he missed the christmas period, before making a scoring return against Bromley on January 26th.
