Katelyn Jolley is a teenager from Utah who recently won first place in CMT's Music City Madness 2 competition. She was among 64 contestants who made it to the first round beating out more than 700 entries. From that point, it was a voting contest online. In Sports bracket fashion, the top 64 were reduced to 32. Then to 16, etc...After more than 4,000,000 votes were cast, Katelyn was declared the winner. She won an expense-paid trip to Nashville, where she will film her own episode of Unplugged at Studio 330 as well as a private audition with Sony/BMG with the possibility of a record deal. If signed, she will be among the young elite in the recording industry, others signed young include: Leann Rhimes, NickelCreek, etc... Katelyn has a song writing style that is unique, especially among 13 year olds. She writes like she is much older. |
