Karrueche Tran

Karrueche Tran (born May 17, 1988) is an American model. Aside from her modeling, she is known for her relationship with Chris Brown.
In December 2013, Tran posted a image of a coloring book of the late singer Aaliyah on Instagram, making note that she was going to soon board a plane. Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001, which caused implications that she was mocking her death and the remark was met with backlash from users on the site.
She received controversy on August 25, 2014 while serving as guest host on BET's 106th and Park. There was a segment which discussed what Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z, thought of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. Tran stated, "I really did wake up like this because my parents never comb my hair. Sorry Blue. I love you."
On August 26, she apologized on her Twitter and Instagram accounts. On Instagram, she described the days following the remark as being "extremely draining" and that she had "never expected things to turn out this way". BET's president of music programming and specials Stephen Hill publicly apologized on August 26. Hill also called for the attacks on Tran to cease. He stated that BET "was sorry for putting her in a bad spot" and noted apologies were directly made to both Beyoncé and Jay Z.
The producer of 106th and Park was suspended as a result of the incident.
