Julio Cesar Badillo

Julio Cesar Badillo (born December 6, 1966) in Brooklyn, New York, is an American-born musician, who made his residence in Puerto Rico since childhood. He is a bassist, keyboardist, sound and recording engineer, music design professor, stage actor, and musical director, among other things.
Career
Badillo has been the lead bassist,(contrabass player), of the Puerto Rico's Phillarmonic Orchestra, during his broad career as a musician. Badillo's also been the bass guitar player, of various celebrities' orchestras such as: Luis Enrique, Toño Rosario, Ismael Miranda, Nino Segarra, José Nogueras, Manny Manuel, Santos Colon and Pete el Conde Rodriguez, among others. He's also fulfilled the duty of Musical Director in Merengue Orchestras such as: Grupomania and Jessica Cristina, and the lead bassist in salsa and charanga orchestras such as Bataola and La Charanga Moderna, among others.
Early years
Julio Cesar Badillo was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has been travelling throughout the world since he was a child, until he made his residence in Puerto Rico, which he considers his hometown, where he was raised, grew up, and pursued his musical career. Badillo has traveled both nationally and internationally, playing the bass for different events in Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, and USA.
Education
Badillo carries a Master's degree in Instrumental Music Education, from the Music Division of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. At present, he also teaches Music & Sound Design for Theater Performing Arts at the specialized Performing Arts School: José Julián Acosta, in Old San Juan. Furthermore, Badillo's an Artistic Producer & President of the Jodiba Recording Studio Corporation. He carries out sound and music designs for theater productions, advertising and educational agencies, movie soundtracks, and voice-overs for Radio Broadcasting Stations in Puerto Rico & Ecuador.

Badillo is the president of Jodiba Recording Studio, his own recording studio, where various musical productions have been recorded, such as Lou Briel con La Maphia Boba, the latest album of Lou Briel,La Charanga Moderna, and Kayvan Vega, among others. He holds a wide range of diversified public services dedicated to cultural entities, schools, colleges, and aspiring performers, among others, aiming for excellence. Design, construction, music edition for public radio broadcasting stations, soundtracks for cultural movies, scholar theater performances, television, and voice overs, among other things, are his top priorities in the education field of the arts.
