Early life and background
Kari Amir Uddin Ahmed was born on February 19, 1943 in Alampur village, Chhatak Upazila, in Sunamganj District in Sylhet Division. His father is Shah Md Rustam Ali Sheikh and his mother is Mst AlifJan Bibi. He grew up in a Muslim "Sheikh" family.
Student life
Kari Amir Uddin Ahmed started his primary education from Alompur Govt. Primary School. Then he admitted into madrasa. Finally he received "Kari" title in 1963 from Darul Majidiya Fultoli Trust from Jakiganj, Sylhet.
Music life
Kari Amir Uddin Ahmed started his musical life when he was 10 years old. He was also performs Maljura with Fakir Durbin Shah, Shah Abdul Karim, Baul Ali Hossain Sorkar, Abed Ali, Kobi Jalal Uddin, Baul Kamal Uddin, Rozzob Dewan, Baul Shah Alom Sorkar, Matal Kobi Razzak Dewan, Omio Thakur, Baul Mujib Sorkar, Baul Arif Dewan etc. KariSab knows all kind of instruments playing likes violin, harmonium, piano, flute, tabla, dotara, etc.
Personal life
Kari Amir Uddin Ahmed is married. His wife name is Shahana Begum Adori. He Has four sons & one daughter. His daughter name is Ambia Nuri; and his sons name's are Sharif Ahmed Amiri, Arif Ahmed Amiri, Tarif Ahmed Amiri, and Maruf Ahmed Amiri.
