Karan Acharya

Karan Acaharya is an Indian Mangalore based graphic artist. His "Angry Hanuman" graphical artwork went viral and was subject to widespread Indian media coverage and was widely used in India as a cultural icon. He was praised by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who called Acaharya pride of Mangalore.
Early Life
Acaharya was born in Kumble village of Kasargod, Kerala.
He studied fine arts in Kasargod and took up job as a drawing teacher in a private school. He completed a course in animation and started working for a private company as an animator in Mangalore. He later started working as a freelance artist and character designer for films.
Angry Hanuman
Acaharya designed "Angry Hanuman" artwork symbolising Hindu deity Hanuman while working for company called Aryan in 2015. According to Acharya his artwork depicts attitude, not aggression. power not oppression.
After designing "Angry Hanuman" Acharya designed "Peaceful Ram" graphic depicting Ram which was noted by India Today for being unorthodox beardless depiction of Ram.
Acaharya stated that my work neither shows anger neither peace but something in between.<ref name="Rama"/>
