Kandar Chappargram

Kandar is the small town of Chappargram village of Battagram district, North West Frontier province. The residents of kandar are mainly Shams Khel or Shamsi Khel.Shams khel of the small town kandar are:
*Shah Jehan Khan baba,his descendents are resided in kandar chappargram.He played a distinguished role in the recognition of Battagram with NWFP till the Battagram was a tribal area and a tehsil of District Mansehra.He was the first man who agreed on the establishment of a police station in Battagram,although he was opposed by many people but he had the support of many people from Ajmera and Chappargram.He told his people that having police station in Battagram they will be free on any kind of cruelty as there will be rule and fear of police government.The first ever police officer who was teased by many people of Battagram ,the Shah Jehan baba gave shelter but later on the people understood the importance of police station.Shah Jehan Khan baba was died in marach 2003 at the age of 95 years.He was given very much respect by the people of Battagram.
