Ben Williams (born 19 March 1992, Rhyl, Wales), is better known by his stage name Kameelion. He is signed to Shout Promotions, based in Manchester. He is due to release is debut album New Start in October 2010. His music has been compared to the likes of artists such as Maroon 5, Plan B, The Script, John Legend, The Streets and Daniel Merriweather. Career Ben started his music career when he was a member of indie band The Comics.. The band were one of the best up and coming indie bands to be produced in Wales, and even boasted fans from a far as Sweden, America and France. After a year of solid work, the band decided to split up and go their seperate ways. He then attended Llandrillo college in Wales, where he studied a two year Performing Arts course. It was in July 2010, when he signed with Shout Promotions and became Kameelion. Style He has a style in which in some of his songs, his vocals have been transposed lower in pitch, so a rapper appears to be rapping, but it is still his own vocals in the song. With this in the equation, his original style has made him find success. He also writes his own lyrics and music. The name Kameelion comes from its literal form of the animal 'Chameleon', because of its changing of colour to adapt to its surroundings; which is simular to Ben's music with his transposed vocals and his very modern and personal lyrics. 2009-2010 He has been recording his debut album throughout June and September of 2010. In mid July 2010, he released four self penned songs online: Hide, Still Love You, Time's Tickin which features an instrumental of Eminem's 'Love The Way You Lie' and his most recent song Understanding Love which has been made available to hear as a preview online.. These will all feature on his new album New Start.
