Early life
Kaitlyn Gold (born Kaitlyn Amber McDougald) is an Atlanta born singer/songwriter/guitarist. Gold was multi-instrumental growing up and played with a few different projects in Atlanta until her early 20's when she married Jett Bryant, known for his role as himself in . She co-owned a dance company, TechnoToning, with her best friend at the time, known as Kaitlyn Bryant. In the summer of 2013 Jett and Kaitlyn separated and she moved to LA to pursue her music career. She got a job bartending at The Viper Room where she met now ex Tommy Black, bass player to Scott Weiland with The Wildabouts. Gold also became close with musician, of Eagles of Death Metal , while there among many others who all in one way or another helped her find the footing she needed to start playing music again. Career
Kaitlyn Gold had her debut show in Hollywood at Lucky Strike Live opening up the Blackwing Amps Launch Party on June 2, 2016, whom Gold later performed for at linking up with companies such as She started this project working with producer/guitar player Luke McClurg. She worked with a number of people throughout the year and played a number of places including SLS Las Vegas Sayers Club and The Holding Company in San Diego where she met Big Jon and interviewed with and later met him back in San Diego for another (much longer) interview on The Dusty Futon. Kaitlyn started getting radio play with her single "Buried Alive" (it's first play on The Douglas Coleman Show ) with her first FM play on Salford City Radio. Kaitlyn, after many rounds of musicians, formed Kaitlyn Gold & the Orphan Age, who also have their own app . The Orphan Age played Break at the Beach where they won an opening spot for The Ultimate Jam Night at the world-famous Whisky a Go Go. Just prior interviewing with Crimson Media Entertainment where Gold got real about her past abusive relationships and the reality behind "Buried Alive." Buried Alive was also picked up by a new television series, Paranormal Monster Society, set to be out in early 2018. The Orphan Age originally consisted of Kaitlyn Gold, Zak Nash, Aaron Cruz, and Jordan Lawson. The only two remaining are Nash and Gold bringing in two new members including "Pinche" Pete Burquez of Se7en4.
Lyrical Content
Kaitlyn can be heard in interviews discussing the domestic violence she has endured throughout many relationships and although they may be seemingly upbeat, her songs majorly speak of violent acts that she has survived.
