Kabooza is a digital photo sharing website, founded 2007.

History
2006. The founders of Kabooza realised that they could not find any good solution to the problem of hassle-free Backup and Photo Sharing. They brought together seasoned Internet veterans and Photo enthusiasts. They started developing on their free time. Constantly pulling together the best specialist in Web Programming, Database performance, Security design, Graphics and Usability to make the simplest and most elegant solution to keep fullsize photos safe and easily shared.
The goal was to make the simplest and slickest experience on the web.
No advertising, no manual uploads, no worries.

2007 Alpha release was made to test what real people really need

2008 Beta Release with full base functionality.

*Kabooza does not offer a free solution because its intended audience is people that are considering an external hardrive to backup their pictures, but realise that carrying around the hardrive is a security risk as well as a hassle.
*Automatic backups by mirroring your picture folder to your secure online folder.

*Automatic Album creation on the web for all your stored images. However long ago you took them.

*Automatic Album organisation. If you update your picture folder the online albums will reflect that automatically so that there is no double work.

*Kabooza allows unlimited storage for personal use. Upload is capped at 25000MB per month and 20MB per image.
*Accounts includ Ftp access to your protected folder reach your backup with drag and drop from any computer without any installation of any software.
*An efective one-click share tool is built into the webinterface.
*Keyword tagging for searching and categorization of photos is available.
*Users can rate their own and other users pictures fpr easy sorting.

Mascot and Logo
The Kabooza team.choose the Octopus as a logo and mascot for the team when they realised all the similairities that Kabooza had with an Octupus.

*Octopuses have three hearts = Kabooza has redundancy for your safety
*Octopuses can grow a new arm if they loose it = Kabooza can help you restore your pictures if you loose them
*Octopuses squirts black ink to foil enemies = Kabooza uses encryption to keep eavesdroppers away
*Octopuses can change color to blend in with their surroundings = Kabooza integrates in your natural workflow
*Octopuses are considered highly intelligent = Kabooza is highly automated and requires no monitoring
*Octopuses have rows of suckers along the length of each tentacle (arm) which, as well as helping it swim and crawl around the ocean floor, allows it to search in cracks and crevices and grab things = Kabooza helps you find and organize your digital life memories
*The octopus, in Hawaiian creation myth, is the lone survivor of the previous universe = Kabooza will survive all your mishaps!

Storage
Storage is on Multiple Redundant Servers in Several Geographical places.

Privacy and security
Kabooza has fine grained options to allow control over the privacy and security of published photos.
All your photos are automatically saved as Private. With one click you can share individual or whole albums at a time to your frends and family. Password protection is available on shared images. You can even choose if the reciepients will be allowed to download the full size original or just view them screensized.

Printing
Kabooza does not currently offer printing.
