Personal Life He was born at Matthil desam, Peringome Gram panchayat in Kannur district. Balamani is his wife. Dharsan is his son. Film career Narayanan started his film career by assisting N.P. Suresh, earlier film editor at Vijaya Vauhini Studios at Chennai.He left for Chennai to learn movie editing soon after he finished the tenth grade. His brother, production controller ‘Seven Arts’ Mohan, helped Narayanan found a job as an assistant editor in Vijaya Vauhini Studios. He associated with many notable movies in Malayalam and Tamil including Vaishali, Chithram, Kilukkam, Vandanam, Midhunam, Aye Auto, Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam, Thenmavin Kombath, Lal Salaam, Aayirappara, Ponthan Mada, Mankamma, Vellanakalude Nadu and Dany. and a Tamil movie Mizhikal.<ref name="vanitha"/> Award * In 2008 Narayanan achieved TV award for Thaniye directed by Babu Thiruvalla.<ref name"manoramaonline"/><ref name"vanitha"/>
