K M Mozibul Hoque

K M Mozibul Hoque (born 6 March 1962) is a Bangladeshi businessman. He is the chairman of Shah Group (involved in construction, real-estate, trading, aviation, and manufacturing businesses). He is the chairman of Total Air Services limited. He has been recognized as a by the Ministry of Industry, for the years 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2000. He is the President (2018-2019) of the Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB) and honorary Consul General of Yemen to Bangladesh. He is one of the founder members of the University of Asia Pacific and also, the founder member of Kazi Noman Ahmed Degree College..
Mr. Hoque served as the regional director of FER (UN Peace Program) in 1986. Mr Hoque headed Junior Chamber Bangladesh (BJC) as National President during 1991.He also elected as the vice president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) for the year 1993 at the XL, VII JCI World Congress held in Miami, Florida, US in 1992. During his term, he served as JCI vice president to the National Organization member (NOMs) of various of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Turkey. He also was responsible for developing and for possible future affiliation in the contact with the countries by Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine.
Early life & education
Hoque was born on 6 March 1962 in Comilla. His father Late Kazi Noman Ahmed. He obtained his diploma in Business Administration and Management from Japan.
Business
As an entrepreneur by profession Hoque started his business career in 1979. He is the chairman of Shah Group. This group involved in construction, real-estate, trading, aviation, and manufacturing businesses. For his outstanding contribution in the field of Industrial development he has been recognized as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Ministry of Industry, Govt. of the People's Republic of Bangladesh for the years 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2000. The government of Bangladesh recognizes some of the top industrialists of the country for the outstanding contribution in the field of Industrial Development.
Organizational activities
Hoque worked as the regional director of FER (UN Peace Program) in 1986, which is the largest event of Peace Torch Rally supported by United Nations and UNICEF in commemoration of International Year of Peace. The year 1986 was declared as the Year of Peace by the UN General Assembly. This peace torch rally was started from UN Headquarters and traveled around 46 countries of the World (covering of 2/3 world population) and returned to the UN Headquarters. Hoque communicated with the FER activities between South East Asia Regional Countries, Governments and FER Headquarters in NY, US. He elected as the National President of Bangladesh Junior Chamber (BJC) in 1991 during the term of National Presidency of Bangladesh Junior Chamber. He also elected as the vice president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) for the year 1993 at the XL, VII JCI World Congress held in Miami, Florida, US in 1992. During his term, he served as JCI vice president to the National Organization member (NOMs) of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Turkey. He also was responsible for developing and for possible future affiliation in the contact with the countries by Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine. Hoque has been elected as of the member board of directors of Bangladesh Consular Corps for the tenure of 2014-2015 and 2016-2017 being the honorary consul general of Republic of Yemen in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Consular Corps has been duly formed by the 52 honorary consuls of different sending nations in Bangladesh in the year 2007. Consular Corps is also the member of The World Federation of Consuls (FICAC).
