K-1 Hungary 2006

K-1 Hungary 2006, also known as K-1 Hungary Grand Prix 2006 in Debrecen, was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was an elimination tournament featuring ten fighters (two being reservists) from Hungary and Europe with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). As well as tournament matches there was a number of 'Super Fight' fought under K-1 and K-1 MAX Rules (70 kg/152 lbs). In total there were twenty fighters at the event, representing nine countries. The tournament winner was Zabit Samedov who defeated Marco Tomasovic in the final by way of first round knockout. The event was held at the Fonix Csarnok in Debrecen, Hungary on Friday, August 18, 2006.
