K-1 Germany 2003

K-1 Germany 2003, also known as K-1 The Best of German Heavyweight 2003, was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was an elimination tournament for ten fighters (two being reservists) based in Germany to find the best heavyweight kickboxer in the country, with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). As well as tournament bouts there was also a 'Super Fight' between Gago Drago and Rene Müller fought under K-1 MAX Rules (70 kg/152 lbs). The tournament winner was Asmir Burgic who defeated Christian Lüdeke by way of first round knockout. The event was held in Bergheim, Germany on Saturday, June 14, 2003.
