Justine Zwerling

Justine Zwerling (born 13 March 1972 ) is a British-born Israeli entrepreneur. She is head of Primary Markets, Israel at the London Stock Exchange. She founded the Jewish Women's Business Network as part of the LSEG's Women's Inspired Network (WIN), within which she has launched partnerships “to promote gender diversity and women’s inclusion and empowerment throughout the world of finance”. Zwerling was named number 5 on the ‘HERoes Top 100 Female Future Leaders’ list in 2020
Biography
Justine Zwerling grew up in North London. Her father is a professor of economics and statistics and her mother was CO-CEO of a company that designed and built specialized microscopes. She attended Bath Spa University from 1991 to 1994 where she completed an honours degree in English Literature and History. During a summer break she went to Israel for four months where she volunteered on Kibbutz Kfar HaHoresh, located near Nazareth. In April 2016 Zwerling became the Global Growth consultant for Intergalactic connector. In December 2017 she became a board member for Curvalux, “manufacturer of new generation wireless broadband solutions” within the Airspace Internet Exchange Inc. In May 2020, “Curvalux and Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority (“SCR”) announced a joint investment” to open a telecommunications R&D Centre and production facility. “SCR is supporting the company’s investment with an initial R&D grant of 8 million pounds”.
Since April 2016 Zwerling has worked as the head of Primary Markets, Israel at the London Stock Exchange, where she supports companies to IPO and Israeli Sovereign Bonds of Israel.
Zwerling is noted for founding and launching the Jewish Women's Business Network in January 2019 as part of the LSEG's Women's Inspired Network. The JWBN has connected “over 400 women globally from the UK, Israel, Gibraltar, Europe, USA and South Africa” and “contributed to developing job prospects, mentoring opportunities, business connections, communities and philanthropic efforts for its members”.
In July 2020 Zwerling became one of the founding members of the UAE-Israel Business Council, The council has amassed over 2000 members since the normalisation of relations between Israel and the UAE in August 2020. Zwerling also launched the Gulf-Israel Women's Forum, alongside co-founder and deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Fleur Hassan, with the goal to unite women from the middle east in sisterhood, culture, friendship and business. On October 9, 2020, the group of Emirati and Israeli women met for the first time in Dubai.
Volunteer work
Zwerling currently volunteers for a number of organisations. Since January 2014 Zwerling has been on the board of directors for Vibe Israel, through country branding.
Since November 2015 she volunteers and is a mentor for parents of autistic children.
In November 2017 she was number 12 on ‘The Aliyah 100 List’, which celebrates “one hundred Jews who moved from Britain to help shape the modern state of Israel”. In this listing she was acknowledged for work at the London Stock Exchange Group and the UK Israel Bilateral Trade Nexus.<ref name=":3" />
Zwerling received the ‘Record Breaking Award’ for Foreign Investment from Israel to the UK 2014-2015.
In 2006 she was awarded ‘Outstanding Investor’ at the Israel British Chamber of commerce awards.
