Julien Edwards

Julien Edwards (born July 30, 1988 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian-born Guyanese footballer who currently plays for Capital City F.C. and the Guyanese national football team.
Career
Youth and college
Edwards attended École secondaire publique De La Salle in Ottawa, Ontario, played for the Ottawa Fury club, and was invited to train at the National Training Centre in Ontario. He played three years of NCAA Division 1 soccer at Drake University.
He played part of the 2009 USL Premier Development League season with Des Moines Menace. While only playing 9 matches, Edwards scored his first goal against Springfield Demize game on 11 July 2009.
Professional
Edwards was invited to the 2010 adidas Major League Soccer Combine, and was subsequently drafted by Toronto FC, but was not offered a contract by the team.
On 8 April 2011, Edwards signed his first professional contract when he was signed by Capital City F.C. of the Canadian Soccer League. He made his professional debut on 20 May 2011, in a 2-0 loss to Toronto Croatia. Edwards scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 win against the Serbian White Eagles with a terrific strike in the 2nd half to win the game for Ottawa.
International
Edwards was a member of the (Olympic team) national team.
In October 2011, Edwards was called up to Guyana for their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago.
