Josh Swade is an American television producer, writer, and business executive. He co-directed "There's No Place Like Home," an ESPN 30 for 30 special of which he was also the on camera subject. In the film, Swade sets out on a mission to bring James Naismith's original rules of basketball to the University of Kansas where he is a fan of the basketball program. Swade convinces Dimensional Fund Advisors CEO David Booth to bid on the rules, resulting in Booth winning the auction and setting a world record at the time for the highest piece of sports memorabilia ever sold. He is also the author of The Holy Grail of Hoops, a book he wrote based on the story. Swade was born in Kansas City and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas a New York based hip-hop record label. He worked as Maverick Records A&R Manager prior to co-founding Young American Recordings, a New York based independent record label known for groups such as South.
