Josh Golden

Josh Golden (born August 4, 1994) is an American pop star who has been featured on the Disney Channel. Golden is currently a finalist in Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing" competition, which introduces unsigned artists to Radio Disney listeners.
Golden's self-titled debut album was released on July 7, 2009. In December, 2009 Golden began a tour of the United States and performed at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles on December 6, 2009. His older brother John is also a musician, and has toured with Radio Disney star Mitchel Musso during the summer of 2009.A video from the December 6 show featuring Josh, John, and Disney star Cody Linley can currently be viewed on the internet.

Biography
Personal life
Golden was born in Missouri to John Golden (a classical guitar player) and Cathy Golden (a former jazz musician). Golden currently resides with his family in Chesterfield, Missouri. Golden has two sisters, Liz, and Anna, and one brother, Johnny, who are also beginning their own musical careers.
Golden began playing guitar at the age of ten and singing at the age of twelve. Soon Golden was composing his own lyrics and melodies, saying "singing someone else's words just didn't feel right." He launched his musical career by posting his original songs online and gained over 100,000 fans on MySpace before he ever played a live show. Golden's career took off when Radio Disney took notice of his popularity, introduced him to a national audience, and chose him as part of their 'Next Big Thing' promotion.
Golden enjoys all sports, especially snowboarding and soccer. Concerning his musical career, Golden says, ""I'll be playing, know what I'm going to write about, and just write it. There are no rules for me...I write about what comes from the heart."
