Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe is a Nigerian management consulting expert, tax advisor, auditor, financial management specialist and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with experience in institutional transformation, reforms, strategy formulation and blue print development project management, change enablement, diagnostic reviews and ERP/IT solution review and implementation, and other financial services related roles. Tegbe is a Partner and Head of the Technology Advisory Services practice of KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria, He also serves as an Industry Lead Partner for the Public Sector and Technology, Media Telecommunications (TMT) market segments of KPMG in the West Africa cluster. He is the Chairman board of trustees of the Unity Schools Old Students' Association. Personal life and education Though his ancestors hail from Ibadan, Tegbe was born in Oyo, Oyo State. He had his secondary education at the Federal Government College, Ogbomosho, Oyo State. 2006, Executive Management programme - INSEAD He is also a member of the VGC Recreation Club. Career Tegbe is a partner in the Advisory Services practice of KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria, where he is the Industry Lead Partner for the Public Sector, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) in both private and public sector segments of West Africa. With a wide range of experience, spanning over two decades, in institutional transformation, reforms, strategy formulation and blue print development project management, change enablement, diagnostic reviews and ERP/IT solution review and implementation, he has extensive project management and implementation skills, acquired from hands-on experience in leading/managing various client projects in non-profit, telecommunications, manufacturing, oil and gas and public sectors, amongst others. Tegbe has worked as a tax consultant and an audit senior and manager for major local and multinational firms in oil and gas and manufacturing sectors. Between 1991 and 1992, he worked as Head, Materials Accounting for Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and led implementation of ERPs for major companies in Nigeria and Ghana, including finance function transformation engagements for entities like SPDC and Ghana Airways. Tegbe has led the strategic health review and repositioning of the Odua Group. He also led the review and transformation recommendation of the Holding Company, 12 subsidiaries and 14 associate companies and he currently advises the group's transformation. Public sector experience In 2006, Tegbe was appointed a technical consultant to the Presidential committee on Consolidation of Salaries and Allowances in the Public Sector. The Committee which was chaired by Chief Ernest Shonekan was constituted by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the remuneration framework in public sector and suggest appropriate reforms. He also led the Presidential initiative in 2005, as the technical consultant to Project Destination Nigeria, an initiative under the government of Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo to analyze and identify comparative advantage areas for the nation. Tegbe led the review and presented the findings for the endorsement of EMT, FEC and National Council of State (2006 - 2007). Tegbe was appointed to serve as the lead consultant to the Presidential Summit on Education, which was constituted by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to review challenges of the Education sector and proffer solutions. The committee also developed the education roadmap for the nation. In 2012, he was appointed member of the Federal Ministry of Education’s ministerial visitation committee/panel. This committee was constituted to review the state of affairs and infrastructure in the Federal Colleges nationwide. He also led the technical consultation of the review and repositioning of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the recrafting of strategic focus and transformation of the service (2006 - 2010). Tegbe has led the consulting team on various projects, including: *The review and repositioning of the finance and accounts function of FIRS, including the definition and implementation of the Oracle ERP System Architecture, the review and transformation of Board of Internal Revenue Service of Bayelsa, Delta, Ondo, Oyo and Benue States (2006 - 2014) *The review and transformation of the Finance and Financial Management System, including Budgeting and Planning function (MTSS/MTEF Implementation Framework) of the following states: Bayelsa, Delta, Ondo, Oyo. *Transaction Advisory on Bond issuance for the following states: Bayelsa, Delta State, Oyo.
