JOrtho

JOrtho is a free-to-use spell-checking library for Java that can be integrated easily. JOrtho can be bound to any JTextComponent that comes with the Swing framework. The JTextComponent is a base class of the Swing framwork that show any text. The dictionaries used by JOrtho are based up on the free Wiktionary project and can easily be changed while it checks the text. JOrtho also supports the well known red underline for potentially wrongly spelled words. The spell checker can be called via context-menu or by pressing F7 in your application.
One of the advantages is the simple integration in existing Swing application.
Supported Languages
As of release 2009-01 of the language package, JOrtho supports the following languages:
* Arabic
* English
* French
* German
* Italian
* Polish
* Russian
* Spanish
The company i-net software accepts suggestions for more languages to be converted for JOrtho. So there can virtually be any language to be spell-checked by JOrtho. In the project there are also the Java sources to generate your own dictionaries.
