Jonathan Minnock

Jonathan Minnock (born 8 December 1976 in Convoy, County Donegal, Ireland) is an Irish player currently with the League of Ireland club Finn Harps. He is nicknamed 'Minno' by the club's supporters. He works as a porter in Letterkenny General Hospital.
Career
Minnock began his career with his local side, Convoy Arsenal, before joining Finn Harps. He has become a firm fan-favourite and is the son of the former Athlone Town, St. Patrick's Athletic and Finn Harps legend, John Minnock. Minnock has been at Finn Park since January 1994 (with the exception of one season spent at Shelbourne). He played in the club's youth and reserve sides before making the break-through into the first team on 13 August 1995 for his teenage debut against Derry City FC in the League of Ireland Cup.
Minnock, known for his tough tackling, has gone on to appear for Finn Harps on 401 occasions, including 18 as a substitute. Operating from the left full-back position, he has managed to score 19 goals for the club. A number of these have derived from his deadly set-piece skills. Holding the all-time record number of appearances for Finn Harps, he is the only player to have played over 400 games for them. He is currently in his second period at Ballybofey, having spent one season at Shelbourne FC of Dublin for the 2001-02 season. At Shelbourne, he picked up a Premier Division winners medal.
