Jolly P Joy is a historian, film director, film producer and lecturer at Baselius College. He also made many student projects as a lecturer. As a coordinator, he played a major role in the development of Baselian, India's first campus internet radio. He also produced several short films for his students. One of his short films, which was named Ammamanassinu won the National Film Promational Council Award (NFPC) 2011. As a historian, he identified four networks of underground passages at Thazhathangadi, Puzhavathu , Vennimala and Njaliakuzhy. All these networks could be linked to existence of palaces. The structure of these tunnels was also similar in that they were all shaped like the letter "Y". At present he is directing a Malayalam Film named Ninth Day. This film is produced in the banner Marthoma Productions of Marthoma Church and registered under Kerala Film Chamber.
