Ammamanassinu' (for the mother's mind) is a 2010 short Malayalam movie produced by lecturer Jolly P Joy, starring Karthika, Reshma, Sruthy etc. It was a big success and won the National Film Promotion Council Award in 2011. The film is directed by Aleena Susan, 17 year old girl studying in Baselius College and is released under the banner of the Baselian Campus Radio of the college. The 25-minute film focuses on the plight of a neglected child of working parents, based on the story written by Thasnimol K K, D1 Chemistry Student in Baselius College.
As it was the first film completely produced by a group of minor female students, it captured a great deal of media attention. The news was first reported in The Hindu, India's national newspaper. Later other Malayalam news papers also published it.
