Johnson Eyeroor () (born 4 December 1946) is a well known writer in Malayalam. His study on piety and erotism (Bhakthiyum Kamavum) is his best known work. Besides being a writer, he is also an activist and applied psychologist. He has so far published a dozen books and many articles in Malayalam language. His main titles are Bhakthiyum Kamavum, Hypnotism oru pathanam, Swayamvara Kanyakal, and Balalkkaram Cheyyappedunna Manassu. Biography He was born to pastor J. and Rahelamma Varghese at Kottarakara in Kollam. After formal education he took up various jobs and served in the Post and Telegraph department of Government of India. Due to his opposition to the national emergency rule of 1975-77, he was removed from service. In his teenage years he was persuaded by the thoughts and writings of M. C. Joseph and he accompanied Prof. Abraham Kovoor, the well known applied psychologist and rationalist in his miracle exposure tours throughout India. In that campaign he met the renowned guru buster Basava Premanand and did some joint ventures. He compiled the works of M. C. Joseph as four books Ashayasamaram (1976), Chinthaviplavam (1976), Nasthikya Chintha (Atheist Thoughts) (1977) and Swatanthra Chintha (Free Thought) (1978). Ashayasamaram (1976) was published by the help of Pavanan. He was a freelance journalist for a short period. Kambisseri Karunakaran, Krishnaswamy Reddiar (Keralasabdam) and M.C.Varghese (Mangalam Weekly) were his supporters in journalistic field. He is the first Indian who achieved the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma with National Occupational Standards of British Government through National Vocational Qualification based on National Qualifications Framework under Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Famous US writer Lee Siegel visited Eyeroor in 2010 to learn oriental hypnosis and persuasion science as a part of his research in eastern VASIKARAN THANTRA Eyeroor is married to Komalam and has two children: Tanuja and Nikhil. He is currently residing in Nilambur in Malappuram district, Kerala.
