John Livesay

John Livesay is a bestselling author, sales keynote speaker, and former Condé Nast executive. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in advertising.
Career
For 15 years, Livesay served as the West Coast Director of W Magazine. He worked with brands such as Speedo, Sonos, and Charles David, and hosted the launch of the Annenberg Photography Space, a digital and print exhibition space. Livesay won salesperson of the year in 2012 after creating a collaborative partnership between W Magazine and Guess and was promoted to the Executive Director of Corporate Partnerships for all 23 brands of Condé Nast.
In addition, Livesay is a contributor to Forbes Coaches Council and Marketing Technology Insights.
In 2004, Livesay published his first book titled, The 7 Most Powerful Storytelling Secrets, which tells reader not to take rejection personally nor feel attached to an outcome. W Magazine threw a launch party for the release of Livesay's first book.
Livesay's second book, The Successful Pitch, was released in 2016 and details how to build a pitch to easily engage investors. His 2016 book, The Successful Pitch, was based on interview material extracted from the same podcast.
Livesay's third book, Better Selling Through Storytelling, focuses on the importance of a good story, and how it can be used to influence sales. Since its publication in 2019, Livesay has appeared on KTLA and as a sales expert.
He has appeared in Inc. Magazine, and the American Bar Assoc. published one of Livesay's articles on how lawyers can use storytelling to draw in more clients. He has also been interviewed by Larry King as the expert on "How to Ask For What You Want And Get A Yes". and at Jaguar, Anthem, and Honeywell. He has appeared at TEDxWilmington presenting his talk, Be The Lifeguard of Your Own Life.
