John Jossifakis

John Jossifakis (born in 1979) is a Canadian-Cypriot entrepreneur and event management professional. He currently resides in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and holds a residence in Athens, Greece.
Early Life and Education
John Jossifakis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1991, at the age of 12.
Career
Jossifakis established J.J. Productions in 1999. He has worked with international artists and bands including Shakira, Ricky Martin, and the Scorpions.
Jossifakis was appointed as the venue project manager for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. He was the closing ceremonies handover segment project manager for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Ceremonies.
Jossifakis held the production manager and assistant technical director positions in the French event production company ECA2 in Paris, France.
Jossifakis was appointed to the position of local ceremonies manager for the AFC Asian Cup held in Doha, Qatar in 2011. In July 2011, Jossifakis became the director of events for Innovations Unlimited ME in Doha Qatar.
Jossifakis also became the local ceremonies manager of the FIFA Club World Cup held in 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In 2019, he was appointed to the same role for the AFC Asian Cup.
Jossifakis was the executive producer of the DAKAR 2022 opening and closing ceremony. He also consults to the State of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Jossifakis is the managing director of Hans & Gretel International in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Awards and Recognition
In 2016, Jossifakis received a CSEP certification.
