John G. Hartness

John G. Hartness is publisher at Falstaff Books and the award-winning author of the Black Knight Chronicles, the Quincy Harker, Demon Hunter series, and the Bubba the Monster Hunter series.
Hartness won the Manly Wade Wellman Award in 2016 for Raising Hell, the first novella in the Quincy Harker series. "The Manly Wade Wellman Award was founded to recognize outstanding achievement in science fiction and fantasy novels by North Carolina writers."
He is also the recipient of an EPIC award for best horror novel for the Black Knight Chronicles.
Hartness's work has received positive feedback in the speculative fiction community. In a review of Raising Hell, reviewer Sharon Stogner writes, "Now this is how you write a freaking monster-ass kicking story!" Likewise, Nerd Nation Magazine calls Straight to Hell "a funny, witty, and very entertaining read" and writes that "it won’t be long before the literary world is speaking of him with the same deference as Jim Butcher or Patricia Briggs."
