John Beckham (born August 11, 1978) is an American music producer and writer from Berwyn Heights, MD. Lowercase Letters John actively plays guitar, keys and produces the R&B/soul band lowercase letters. The bands self titled album has been called "masterful", a powerful outing that gets better with each listen, and great. The music video for the single "open blinds" premiered on AfroPunk and the album charted to 152 on the CMJ College Charts. The band has performed at the 2014 SXSW festival, Kennedy Center, and Smithsonian. Impose Magazine calls John's production "powerhouse" Gift to the Greedy In High School, John started the band Gift to the Greedy with now multi-platinum grammy winning producer Andros Rodriguez. The band released the album "Flying Exorcist" and was the first unsigned band to be written up in the Washington Post Sunday Print edition The Glorification of Gangster In 2011, John produced the soundtrack for then Art Director at Island / Def Jam Alex Haldi's art installation "The Glorification of Gangster". The soundtrack includes original mashups by John, original music by collaborators lowercase letters, The Dance Party and Salle&Batz, as well as original music by J. Cole and the Loyal Divide.
