John Roberts Battiloro III
Early life
John Roberts Battiloro was born on March 12, 1952 in Doctors Hospital in New York, N.Y. He is the son of Frieda and John Roberts Battiloro, jr. a pioneer of graphic arts and along with his father the creator of the color retouching process. Battiloro is a former record producer and now a business consultant specializing in the Media, Entertainment and Broadcasting.
Early career
Upon completion of secondary school, Battiloro directed and produced several off-off- Broadway musicals including: The Fantastics and The Music Man. In 1971 He appeared at the Equity Library Theater in New York in the play "Heloise" directed by S.Daryll Calvin. While attending The American Academy of Dramatic Arts he studied with: Melissa Dodge, John Lemley and Bela Nicholas. While a student at the Academy he appeared in the summer stock revivals of Plaza Suite with Keith Michell and Jacques Brell is Alive and Well with Bob Gunton. In 1973 he directed another production of The Fantastics, this time staring Michael O'Keefe and Terry Davis
Battiloro's career began prior to entering university at Minot Sound Studio's. There he engineered and produced jazz greats such as: Sonny Fortune, Clifford Jordan, Bill Lee, Charles Davis, Carlos Garnett, Stanley Cowell, Billy Higgins, Harold Land, Cecil Bridgewater and Dee Dee Bridgewater,Battiloro along with partners, Terry Minogue, Ron Carran and Randy Adler, discovered the band Arc Angel, AKA Crack the Sky who were produced later by legendary producers Cashman and West. During this time period Battiloro went to work for Cashaman and West. During these years Battiloro also worked with Noel Paul Stookey, Liza Minelli and Ben Vereen. Later on Battiloro went on to consult to ABKCO Music and Film on "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. In 2010, Mr. Battiloro was asked to produce a song written by Jim Dawson and Seth David Walter for "The Global Medical Relief Fund."[http://gmrfchildren.org He teamed up with legendary producer, Tommy West and together with Jim Dawson, Seth David Walters produced " Put them back together" The song remained at the top of the chart on CD BABY for over 3 weeks.
Recent career
In the late 1990s Battiloro joined the Terminal Marketing Company as Vice President and within 1 year had increased sales by 30 million dollars. Over the course of the next 3 years he increased revenues to over 300 million dollars making Terminal Marketing the largest leasing company in the broadcast video, film and audio industry.
In 2001 Battiloro started Media Asset Capital and bespoke consulting firm based in the United Kingdom. Together with Neil MacTaggart they built a team of professionals specializing in consulting to the broadcasters around the globe. In 2007, Battiloro became The Director of Sales and Marketing of ARG ElectorDeisign Inc. in Cirencester, England. The company manufactures transmission equipment used by broadcasters around the world. He resigned his position in 2009.
Most recently he became the Managing Director of The Consultancy a specialized business consultancy based out of New York servicing broadcasters, post production, audio and film companies around the world.
