Career
Muhammad Ahsan Khan aka MAK (as he calls himself) is one of the most young yet critically acclaimed figures in the Pakistan showbiz market. He has written and directed many hit TV shows aired on Geo Television, Indus Vision, Pakistan Television Network (PTV), HUM TV and so forth. Between 2001 and 2003, Khan co-directed the Supreme Ishq series of songs with the most successful director in the history of Pakistan showbiz, Shoaib Mansoor. Khan has also been a successful songwriter and music composer. It was Khan who initially developed musical hits with great artists such as Yousuf, Ali Shahid, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar.

He has been involved heavily with Sun Vision Studios for 5 years, in the course of which he has worked on various projects for TV/Film, Tele-film, TV Commercials and Music Videos. His most acclaimed work includes his post production in commercials for Mobilink, Nescafe, Bank Alfalah, DOP of three music videos with Abbas Altaf (famous producer of Lahore) and his famous Tele-film which was banned from some local television networks after its release in 2007 for graphic content related to terrorism and suicide bombing.

In his last public appearance (at A.K. Daddy's "Haweli"), he told the reporters, "I am very dissappointed from this ban on my telefilm. I have worked on this project for more than 3 years and have given my heart out to it. I now plan to move from here to a place where an artist's work is not supressed!" On asking where he was planning to move, "I have offers from some gulf media companies and I am seriously planning to move on" said the young director.

Professional Life & Education
Muhammad Ahsan Khan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Lahore School of Economics, one of the most renowned business schools in Pakistan. He had a flair of Broadcast and TV/Film Production from the start, hence he had backed his Masters with a Bachelors degree in Media, Mass Communication and Literature. During his MBA, he had not stopped his struggle to penetrate into the Pakistan TV and Film industry, among which the latter had been experiencing great decline. His vision was to come up with new ideas and back them up by sound and serious financing, hence leading them to success. He however, did not succeed in that initially, until he tagged along with Shoaib Mansoor, aka SHOMAN... It was then that he realized his potential and became a star. Shoaib Mansoor's hand proved out to be a magic wand for him and then there was no stopping.

Khan, after his MBA, got into his professional career pursuing Marketing Communications and Brand Management. He joined Engro in 2005 where he worked for nearly two years after which he was grabbed by a competitor to join in a managerial capacity, and so he did (He is still employed in the same company). Khan, in a written agreement and arrangement with his employers, has not stopped working on TV/Film and broadcast projects. He is often seen on the roads and inside the hotels of Lahore with his camera crew, shouting at the actors to come up with their best shot or else.

Muhammad has lived most of his life in Lahore which is the hub of Pakistani media, TV and Film production. His wife, Fariha is an English novel writer and poet and is on her way to publishing her first book, "Hush Hush" by the mid of 2009.
