Joey Armstrong

Joseph Marciano "Joey" Armstrong (born February 28, 1995), is an American drummer, best known as the drummer for Swmrs. He is the oldest son of Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong. Armstrong co-founded label "Uncool Records" with his bandmates in 2015. He has also drummed for various other projects.
Life and career
Armstrong was born on February 28, 1995 to Billie Joe and Adrienne Armstrong in Oakland, California. He grew up occasionally on the road with his father, most notably appearing in the documentary for the Pop Disaster Tour with his dad. In 2004 after watching School of Rock with his friends he decided to form a band. The band origanally consisted of Armstron (Drums), Max Becker (Vocals, Bass) and Cole Becker (Vocals, Guitar). They were originally name "The Raining Souls" but later changed it to "The Clocks" in 2008 and finally "Emily's Army" in 2009 to honor a cousin of the Beckers name Emily who had suffered from Cystic Fibrosis. The band recorded their first material in 2008, a demo titled "This Kid.". In 2009 They released an EP and added Guitarist Travis Neumann to the group. The band released a string of EP's throughout 2009 and 2010 until they released their debut album in 2011. Armstrong's family band "The Boo" releases their EP that Christmas. The band released their second album Lost at Seventeen in 2013. In Mid 2013 Emily's Army sideproject "Frankenshark" released 2 songs on soundcloud. Armstrong's jazz band "DDG" also released their debut album "Fact Check" in late 2013, along with a DDG Christmas album that year. Emily's Army released their last material under the name Emily's Army, in 2014 releasing their EP . The band changed their name once again in 2014, changing it to Swimmers. In 2014 Armstrong and his father played Drums and Bass respectively on their debut EP, which was later released in 2015. In Mid 2015, Joey played drums on his brother Jakob's, debut EP. In late 2015 the band once again changed their name to Swmrs and released their first material under that name, the EP "Miley/Uncool" and founded "Uncool Records",
