Joey Pinter

Joey Pinter joined the punk scene playing clubs like Max's Kansas City and CBGBs in 1973. While having very little commercial success, his guitar style can be compared as an extension of the work of Johnny Thunders; noting this he was recruited to play with the Waldos, Walter Lure's band.
History
Joey released his first single, with his band, Knots in 1980. In the 70s through the 90's Joey shared the stage with several prominent New York artists, Johnny Thunders, The Senders, The Fast, Wayne County, Jerry Nolan, the Cramps and several others. His band Knots opened regularly for the Heartbreakers at Max's Kansas city.
In 1994 he put out an album with Walter lure, Tony Coiro, Jeff West, entitled "Rent Party" on the label, Sympathy For The Record Industry. Punk Globe Magazine stated that, "If you want your Johnny Thunder’s fix here you go," when referring to his guitar work on "Rent Party."
